My Filmmaking Approach

I believe each wedding is as unique as the people celebrating it. Your film isn't built from a template; it's carefully crafted around the moments and emotions that make your day Special.

I approach weddings primarily as a documentarian, capturing the organic interactions and emotions as they happen. I'm not there to constantly direct and pose you; instead, I'm observing the moments as they unfold in real time. That said, I'll occasionally suggest a shot or two when it makes sense, especially while the photographer is working through posed photos.

What I'm really looking for are those authentic interactions: the way your partner looks at you during vows, your parent's reactions, the laughter between friends. These are the moments that make your film feel true to your day, the moments you’ll want to see years later.

In editing, I take what I’ve captured and build it into something cinematic and beautiful, working carefully with music to create a film full of emotion. The result is a wedding film that feels both artful and authentic.

I work solo on intimate weddings and with a trusted second or third shooter on full-day coverage.

  • Yes! I regularly film weddings throughout the Lower Mainland, Sunshine Coast, Whistler, and Vancouver Island. Travel within 2 hours of Vancouver is included in all packages. Destinations beyond that may include a travel fee.

  • I use professionally licensed music from a curated library. During our consultation, you can share examples of songs or musical styles you love, and I'll find licensed tracks that match that vibe and energy.

  • I charge a 50% non-refundable booking fee due upon signing of the contract. This locks in your date. The remaining amount is paid one week before the wedding date

  • I deliver a polished, finished film on the first viewing - not a rough cut. My goal is for you to love it right away. That said, if there are small adjustments you'd like (swapping a few shots, timing tweaks, etc.), I'm happy to make those changes. All packages include one round of minor revisions by default should you need them.

    Music changes are possible if you're not happy with the track selection, though please note that swapping music can require timing adjustments throughout the film. Major restructuring or re-editing of the complete film is not included.

  • I do not deliver the raw files on their own as they can be hundreds of gigabytes in size and often don’t play back well on most computers. If you would like the raw files please purchase the Home Video Edit add-on
